Transferring your Australian Super comes a step closer
A new agreement on private retirement savings portability between Australia and New Zealand is a step closer following recent announcements from the Australian and New Zealand governments.
The agreement, that acknowledges the increasingly free-flow of labour across the Tasman is to be finalised by October this year with both countries undertaking to take the necessary steps to allow the transfer of retirement savings between complying Australian superannuation accounts and complying superannuation funds.
As one of only two DIY Superannuation providers in New Zealand, ABN AMRO Craigs are inviting Expressions of Interest from anyone wishing to consider the implications of a transfer from Australia via our Super Transfer Information Service - complementing our existing New Zealand and UK Pension Transfer service that has already administered in excess of $20m of transfers since its launch in early 2008.
